NEW SURVEY REVEALS TOP 10 AFTERNOON TEA SANDWICHES

A poll conducted by AfternoonTea.co.uk revealed that the top sandwich for afternoon tea is the smoked salmon and cream cheese. The cucumber sandwich, which is traditionally associated with afternoon tea, was the preferred filling for just 8% of participants. Granary bread was the top choice overall, but white bread was still the preferred companion to the cucumber and cream cheese sandwich.

 “The rise in the popularity of afternoon tea shows no sign of slowing down and we have seen bookings rise steadily over the last year as we continue to add new venues and promotions to the website.”
