This unique product was designed by Tassilo von Grolman in 1983, and combines hand-finished stainless steel with heat-resistant glass to pleasingly good effect. Not only that, but the teapot ensures your loose-leaf tea releases its full flavour, thereby creating the most delicious cup of tea.

That was very much von Grolman’s intention when he designed the product. He realised that tea tasted at its very best if the tealeaves had plenty of space to unfurl. As a result, he made the filter almost as large as the teapot itself. In the process, he created a design classic that looks as fresh now as it did 25 years ago.

Not that von Grolman’s excellence was focused on just one product, of course. He also designed the Mono Filio Teapot, which offers a fresh take on his classic design.

Available in 0.6-litre or 1.5-litre sizes, the Mono Filio Teapot offers the same large filter as the Classic, but features a different-shaped bowl and handle design. It’s every bit as functional, and is a thing of beauty even when it’s not in use.

The same could be said of the Mono Eclipse Teapot. This was also designed by von Grolman, and features Mono’s trademark large filter, along with an elegant stainless-steel handle that makes pouring a breeze. It can hold up to 1.3 litres of tea, making it the perfect choice when you have guests.
