The Moringa Oleifera tree makes an excellent energy drink. The tea is loaded with antioxidants and vitamins that will help clear your mind and boost energy levels. Dried Moringa leaf tea creates a refreshing and nutritious energy boost.
Moringa Oleifera is a fast-growing, deciduous tree. It can reach heights of 10–12m and the trunk can grow to a diameter of around 45cm. The bark has a whitish-grey colour and is surrounded by thick cork. Young shoots have purplish or greenish-white, hairy bark. The tree has an open crown of drooping, fragile branches and the leaves build up feathery foliage. These leaves are very popular to infuse into a tea-like beverage.
This subtropical ‘Miracle’ tree, which originally is said to have been found in India, grows today also in Africa, the Middle East, South East Asia and the Caribbean. The Moringa tree grows fast and is very robust. Its leaves, bark, blossoms, fruit, seeds and the roots have been used in Ayurveda medicine for thousands of years. Amongst Vegan followers Moringa Tea has already developed into a favourite and sought after hot beverage.
Moringa is not called ‘Miracle’ tree without reason. Moringa can supply a number of vitamins, oils, amino acids, fiber, micro- & macro elements, minerals and different kind of antioxidants. Furthermore it is seen as an important protein source. A combination rather rare in the world of plants.

Preparation
Use one heaped teaspoon per cup. Brew with boiling hot water at 100C and leave to infuse for about 5 to 8 min
