Our Favourite Wellness Teas and the Benefits of Herbs
It’s incredibly humbling to know that you can add a bit of wellness to your day with just a cup of hot water and a spoonful of herbs. At Cup of Tea, we love all tea but drink many herbal and fruit infusions to promote our wellbeing. We know the importance of hydration, but herbs can help to balance our bodies and minds.
Herbs, throughout the centuries, have been reputed to have incredible healing, wellness and mindful properties. Some are great for aiding sleep and digestion, while others help to calm or inspire. The natural world is full of gentle and natural ways of helping us.
Packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, our herbal and wellness teas offer a beneficial alternative to regular tea and coffee while helping to detoxify and boost our energy.
We’ve selected our favourite caffeine-free, balancing tea infusions for you to try. Our teas are expertly blended, unless they are pure herbs such as camomile or mint, and sourced from small tea gardens and producers. We only select the highest quality of teas to stock in our online tea shop and personally try all the teas before they go on sale. We hope you enjoy some of these wellness-inspired tea blends, and if you do, please drop us a line at orders@cupoftea.co.uk and tell us what you think!

Camomile Blossoms Organic Loose-Leaf Herbal Tea
Nothing beats a classic, pure-herb tea, and camomile has to be one of the best. Our organic Camomile Blossoms are whole (no dust!) and full of mild flavour and aroma. Thanks to its calming properties, this classic herbal tea is perfect for anyone who needs to relax and unwind.
How to Infuse Herbal Teas
Herbal teas are very forgiving when it comes to brewing. However, we still suggest that you check each packet for instructions because while Rooibos will never get bitter, even if over-brewed, herbs like fennel can get bitter if over-steeped.
Our wellness teas are great hot, but we also like to brew them to cool and refrigerate, making them a great refreshing drink.
• Boil (filtered) water in a kettle
• For every cup/mug of water, take one heaped teaspoonful of herbal tea
• Pour the boiling water over the tea or in a tea egg or tea filter
• Cover the pot or cup and allow the infusion to brew for 5 to 10 minutes
• Strain the tea and serve
