This style of spoon has been used for centuries with Matcha, traditionally it is an essential component of the traditional Japanese Tea Cermony. 

It's shape size and craftmanship reflects the principles of wabi-sabi, or beauty in simplicity and imperfection.

To create your own Tea Ceremony put 2 spoons of Matcha powder in a warmed bowl, add freshly pre-boiled water ideally at 80c - 90c and froth using a bamboo whisk. Once a fine foam appears on the surface, the tea is ready for drinking.

Bamboo being a natural and rapidly renewable raw material is a great eco-friendly option too!
